Claim your skill's page

A public page and a README badge for an agent skill or plugin you publish on GitHub.

What you get

A page at repogates.com/skills/… that shows the skill's current verdict — PASS, REVIEW or BLOCK — with its score, the four dimensions (open it, clone it, install and run it, hand it to an AI agent), the skill checks that fired, what was not checked and why, and the dates it was assessed and claimed. A badge for the README shows the same verdict and score.

A PASS means every check that could run, ran, and none fired; it is never a guarantee.

How a claim works

  1. Sign in on the account page — any plan, the free one included — and paste the skill under Claim your skill's page: owner/repo, owner/repo/skills/name, a github.com or skills.sh link, or name@marketplace for a plugin.
  2. RepoGates answers with a badge in Markdown that carries a one-time claim code. Commit it to the README on the default branch: the skill directory's own README or the repository's. For a plugin, that is the repository its marketplace entry points to.
  3. Press Verify. RepoGates reads that README through GitHub's API and looks for the code in a badge for that skill. Only someone who can push to the repository can put it there, and that is the proof of ownership; there is no GitHub sign-in.
  4. The page goes live and the code is spent. The badge keeps working without it. An unused code expires after 14 days.

What is published

The verdict, the checks and the dates. Never your name, your e-mail address or your RepoGates account. The skill's owner name is shown because it is part of the skill's name.

The verdict is read again when the page is visited, with the usual cache, and the badge is cached for six hours. A skill nobody claimed has no page, and nothing lists unclaimed skills; a badge for one reads “not claimed”, never a verdict.

Removing a page

Remove the page from the account page at any time. Taking the badge out of the README ends it too: when the page is visited, RepoGates looks for the badge at most once a day, and a page whose badge is gone is withdrawn. A removed page says that it was removed, and search engines are asked not to index it. A badge already shown in a README can take some hours to change.

What cannot be claimed

A ClawHub listing has no repository to push to, so it cannot be claimed. Nor can a plugin whose marketplace entry points to npm, an archive or a host other than GitHub.
